  • Who we are


  • L'Associazione Pizzerie Italiane, founded in 1989,
    has its registered office in 14, Via Taro - 00191 Roma,
    and its head office in 138,Via Acuto - 00131 Roma
    P. IVA 05308041002, It intendes:


  • 1) To promote the own members' vocational training;

  • 2) To represent own members in relationship with public, private bodies, institutions, etc.;
  • 3) To support and organize research works, studies and promotional campaigns, to improve and make known the Italian pizza in the world;

  • 4) To promote and organize performances, championships, stages without territorial limit to develop the association activity;

  • 5) To draw up arrangements with companies that encourage the A.P.I.'s members;

  • 6) To support the "professional courses for pizza makers " in accordance with the instructions of the Pizza Makers' National School, Scuola Nazionale Pizzaioli (SNP), instituted and organised by A.P.I. and by some associated schools.


  • The school teaches all the main themes of pizzeria through a hard work and an in- depth study: lessons include a theory part and a pratical part about the traditional and innovative working methods.
    The instructors are members of A.I.P.P.( Albo Italiano Pizzaioli Professionisti) and give lessons in the classrooms and in the laboratories of the school.
    In 2000 it found the monthly magazine "Real Pizza", the news of the Association about the innovation in the world of catering and pizza. "Real Pizza" puplishes 12.000 copies all over the national territory;


  • It has organized, for eight years, the Campionato Nazionale di Pizza (National Championship of Pizza) c/o Citta' di Fiuggi with the participation of about 250/300 'pizza makers' who compete in different specialities (Pizza tonda classica, Pizza Napoli S.T.G., Pizza in Teglia; Pizza alla Pala, Pizza acrobatica).
    There are about 35/40 institutional sponsors and many visitors, about 3000 a day, at the competition;


  • Ha creato l'Albo Italiano Pizzaioli Professionisti A.I.P.P. istituzione nata dal desiderio dei pizzaioli iscritti all' A.P.I. di essere riconosciuti professionalmente vista l'importanza che ha la pizzeria italiana nel nostro paese e nel mondo.
    L'Albo nasce per tutelare l'immagine dei pizzaioli che svolgono regolarmente e professionalmente il loro lavoro in Italia e all'estero.


  • It formed the Professional Pizza makers Italian Register (l'Albo Italiano Pizzaioli Professionisti A.I.P.P.) to recognize the professionalism of pizza makers members of A.P.I. because of the great importance of pizzeria in our Country and in the world.
    The Register was formed to protect the image of pizza makers who work in Italy and abroad;


  • In accordance with A.I.P.D. (Associazione Italiana Persone Down- Italian Association for Down People), division of Rome O.N.L.U.S., every month, for free, it includes two suffering from this syndrome boys in training courses teaching them theoretical and pratical elements;


  • It carries out voluntary services in association with: Associazione Peter Pan (Bambin Gesł oncological ward); Caritas (food for the less well-off); Casa Circondariale di Rebibbia ( pizza makers' courses for prisoners); Social Services of IV - V District (insertion of in straitened people); Associazione Punto Linea Verde (rehabilitation of people with problems of drug addiction); Fund- raising through the National Pizza makers' Soccer Team for "Amici di Alessio" Foundation;
